The body in Denmark - the soul in Ukraine. Ukrainian refugees in Southern Jutland.
The war in Ukraine has sent millions of people fleeing. Some of the Ukrainian refugees have also come to Southern Jutland.
In a highly topical exhibition, Museum Sønderjylland focuses on some of these refugees.
In a series of film clips, refugees themselves talk about fleeing, arriving in Denmark, starting a life here and at the same time staying connected to home and always keeping Ukraine in mind.
The exhibition mixes film, VR, text, images and selected objects - including examples of the few memories some brought with them.
The exhibition is based on a research project that is a collaboration between Aarhus University, Moesgaard Museum and Museum Sønderjylland. Both the project and the exhibition are supported by the Velux Foundation.
